Laura Oblinger leads strategic development for the Chamber's programs and services, membership strategies, and its branding and communications process.  Through the work of volunteer leadership committees, member experts, and other staff members, Laura has led processes that introduced new communications to Chamber members - a weekly e-News, social media, specific event and program direct mail. enhanced print communications, and the first ever Chamber awareness advertising campaign.  She has enhanced many of the Chamber's existing events and programs, among them the Annual Chamber Dinner, Business Expo, Golf Outing, and Business After Hours Program, while developing the popular Small Business Celebration, Entrepreneur Series, Business camp, and the Chamber's Young Professional Program.  Prior to joining the Chamber, Laura worked as Regional Director of Marketing for JGB Distributing, distributor of the Invisible Fence brand of electronic pet containment.  Laura was instrumental in the planning and implementation of regional advertising campaigns for an 18-state Midwest region, including budgeting, measuring return on investment, planning and implementing electronic and print media, and managing the creation of dealer sales and support materials.  Laura is a graduate of Davenport University where she studied Marketing.  She is a Traverse City native and has one child.
