Tino Breithaupt works with communities and companies to educate and promote smart business growth through the expansion of existing businesses and industry and the attraction of new businesses to the region, resuliting in job creation and an increased tax base for the region.  Prior to joining the Chamber's staff, Tino served as the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Vice President of Technology Development, where he focused on developing the state's Technology Tri-Corridor program and the 21st Century Jobs Fund which targeted development and growth of the Life Sciences, Homeland Security/Defense, Advanced Automotive and Advanced Manufacturing Industries in Michigan.  Prior to that, Tino worked in the MEDC's Global Business Development unit and managed the International Dvision for the Port Huron-St. Clair County Industrial Development Corporation.  His early career years were spent with the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce where he managed its Small Business and Canadian Business Attraction programs.  Tino is a graduate of Michigan State University where he studied finance.  He and his wife Stacie are originally from Traverse City and they have three children.
