Your Chamber's Building is Your Building
The Chamber building is your building — which means the two conference rooms in the building are available to Chamber members at no cost. The Steelcase Business & Education Center is located on the ground floor and comfortably seats up to 30 people. The VanSumeren Room, located on the third floor, can accomodate 15 people. Your Chamber has partnered with Northwestern Michigan College to create an educational seminar series aimed at addressing the business education needs of our members. Please see your Chamber communications for more information on this powerful series.
Small Business Celebration

The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of small business to northern Michigan. It's more than the economic backbone of the community — it's the spirit and passion that fuels our culture. This series of events celebrates this creative spirit and entrepreneurial fire.
Home-Based Entrepreneur Program
As a home-based business, you face a measure of unique opportunities and challenges. HomeWorks, a group of home-based business entrepreneurs, meet every other month for lunch in the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce meeting facilities. This is an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs of like-minds and listen to informative speakers who address home-based issues.
Business Counseling
Obtain free business counseling through SCORE of Traverse City. SCORE is sponsored through the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and is a subsidiary of the Small Business Administration. Counselors meet with you personally and as frequently as necessary and analyze and define your problems while helping you find solutions.
