- Tuesday, December 2 - "Undercover Night Out: Preservation Hall Jazz Band at the City Opera House"
Time: 5:00-10:00 p.m.
Location: Right Brain Brewery, City Opera House, Top of the Park
Join us for a very special holiday edition of Undercover Night Out! The renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band derives its name from Preservation Hall, the venerable music venue located in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter. The band has played to sold-out audiences worldwide, spreading their mission to nurture and perpetuate the art form of New Orleans Jazz.
On December 2, Preservation Hall will appear with local favorites Steppin' In It at the City Opera House. Young Professionals will receive a special ticket price of $35 to the show, which includes an exclusive YP pass for a post-show reception at the Top of the Park with the members of Preservation Hall. Join us for pre-show pints at Right Brain Brewery at 5:00 p.m., then head to the City Opera House at 6:30 p.m. for the concert. To order tickets, contact the City Opera House at 941-8082. - Tuesday, January 20 - "YP Book Club"
Time: 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Location: Right Brain Brewery
Join us for appetizers, beer and great discussion at our bimonthly YP Book Club meeting. January's fiction selection is "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle" by David Wroblewski. (Note: Because of the holidays, and because of requests from our members to provide more time to read each book, we will be moving to a bimonthly format for the YP Book Club beginning in January.)
