The Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation works closely with businesses and communities throughout the 4-county region to promote and bolster the area’s economy. As a division of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Traverse Bay EDC is focused on growing business through the retention and expansion of existing business, and the attraction of new businesses to the region.

We provide assistance and services in areas such as site location assistance, low interest financing, business counseling, job training grants, permitting, and tax abatement assistance.

The Traverse Bay EDC also builds communities by partnering with local units of government and other county economic development corporations to support communities in job-producing and tax-base-broadening projects. We can assist communities with land use policy, obtaining infrastructure grants, and regional planning and concepts.
