The Traverse Bay EDC provides
a One-Stop Shop of no charge business counseling
services to existing small businesses and innovative
technology companies, as well as to individuals
and entrepreneurs who are seeking to start their own
business. Our partnerships with the Traverse City
SCORE Chapter and the Michigan Small Business & Technology
Development Center ensures that your request for assistance
is matched up with the appropriate business counselor,
depending on the where you fall in the life cycle
of your business.
SCORE is located in the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and offers one-on-one assistance for small businesses. The volunteer business counselors of Traverse City SCORE are dedicated to supporting small businesses and bolstering the local economy. Their experience and knowledge can be indispensable to budding entrepreneurs, as well as existing businesses experiencing growing pains.
With offices statewide, the MI-SBTDC positively impacts our region’s economy by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs, and assisting companies in defining their path to success. Traverse Bay EDC has partnered with MI-SBTDC in the Northwest Michigan region to employ two Business Counselors in Traverse City. Counseling services are available at the Traverse City Chamber of Commerce, the MI-SBTDC offices at the Michigan Works! center, or on-site at your business.
